The White House is a 15th Century Grade II listed manor house set in one acre of attractive gardens providing a relaxing atmosphere. The White House is located 5 minutes from Stansted airport and is near to many attractions.
The White house has been welcoming guests since the 15th Century and is a grade II listed coaching Inn. The White House has many original features such as open fires and original oak beams.
A buffet breakfast is available for guests who have early departures and a full cooked breakfast with locally produced sausages and bacon, local free range eggs, fresh fruit salad and homemade preserves all available for those guests who have a more leisurely start to the day, both served in the comfortable surroundings at The White House.
An evening meal is available at the nearby pub, (same ownership) The Lion and Lamb, and is just a 2-minute drive away, where food is served all day until 10.00pm. To assist you during your stay The White House offers, subject to availability, free transportation to the Lion and Lamb.

Being located close to Stansted Airport (1.5 miles, but not on the flight path), The White House is the perfect venue for travellers going to and from the airport. From the East, Leave the A120 at Dunmow West, take the B1256 towards Takeley, The Lion and Lamb is just two miles on the right hand side, The White House is one mile further on the right hand side, just beyond Smiths Green.
