Geschichte

The college was designed by a famous Italian architect Giancarlo de Carlo, who disagreed with the Le Corbusier model that all rooms should be standardised. It is named so because it is located on top of a high ground, near to where in the 16th century the Cappuccini friars built a church, which still stands. The residence complex has been discribed as a true "citadel", placed harmoniously in the middle of the surrounding countryside, making it a modern projection of the city’s ancient old town.

At the college there is a self-service restaurant with more than 500 places, where you can book breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices.

Every day our chefs prepare different menus so that guests will have the opportunity to get to know and appreciate typical local and national dishes.

However, for those who wish to discover some of the typical restaurants found in the city’s old town, these are reachable via a very picturesque and panoramic walk with a great view of the unmistakeable profile of the Palazzo Ducale.

The college is situated in the middle of a green area, where there is also a "percorso vita", or health circuit, for those who like to exercise. There are also many gardens where guests can relax in the tranquil surroundings. A short distance away from the college there are also many trekking routes of varying difficulty which attract occasional excursions.
