The White Lion Inn, Wymondham

The White Lion Inn offers a warm, rustic atmosphere set amidst beautiful surroundings, making it an ideal retreat. Our accommodation features eight en-suite rooms, including five doubles, one twin, one family room, and one single, all decorated and furnished to a high standard with double-glazed windows for comfort and tranquillity. Each room is equipped with a television, tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi access, and a hairdryer. Children are very welcome, and cots and high chairs can be provided upon request to ensure a comfortable stay for families.

We serve delicious breakfast, lunch, and evening meals, with our restaurant closed on Mondays. Our dishes are prepared using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available to cater to all dietary preferences. Guests can enjoy a selection of fine wines from around the world alongside our traditional ales and ciders, offering a perfect complement to your meal.

During warmer weather, guests can relax in our country garden beside the brook or on the covered patio area, ideal for enjoying drinks or meals outdoors. Dogs are welcome in the bar and garden areas, making it a pet-friendly destination. Our facilities include a small function room with a dance floor available for private hire, accessible toilets, a bar, comfortable seating areas, and outside facilities such as our new Pizza and BBQ Grill.

Additional amenities include parking, bicycle storage, dog walking areas, and a short five-minute walk to a nearby park suitable for children. There is also a village shop, and trips to Oakham and Melton Mowbray are about 15 minutes away by car. The bus stop right outside the pub provides convenient access if you prefer not to drive. Rutland Water Nature Reserve and sailing lake are just 15 minutes from the inn, offering plenty of outdoor activities. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
