Cattistock is an excellent choice for visiting Dorset and is very close to the county town of Dorchester where you will find the home of Thomas Hardy, along with excellent shopping and markets.
We are just over the valley from Cerne Abbas where you can take a walk up to visit the famous Cerne Giant.
Cattistock is also close to the Jurassic coast with Weymouth being just 20 minutes away and Lulworth Castle and Durdle Door just an easy 26 mile drive.
West Bay (home to Broadchurch) can be found by taking a drive across the spectacular Eggerdon Hill and Bridport is also close by.
The Fox and Hounds is a country pub set in rural Dorset and positioned at the heart of the village of Cattistock.
We sit directly opposite the village play park which offers wonderful facilities for children to safely play. The pub itself has a veranda directly facing the park so parents can relax whilst the children work up a healthy appetite for lunch or dinner.
We are pet friendly and allow dogs in all areas of the pub and letting rooms. There is also a beer garden at the rear of the building.
We open for evening meals every day and only close on a Monday lunch time.
Finally its important to note the TWIN room is not ensuite although it does have its own private bathroom.
