Histoire

Quest University is Canada's first independent, not-for-profit, non-secular private university. Founded in 2002 and opening in 2007 with 73 students, Quest now offers seminar-style classes to a full-time student body of 700 students from 43 countries. The university considers itself fortunate to operate on the ancestral lands of the Squamish Nation, whose influence on the region can be seen throughout Squamish.

Quest consistently ranks among the top universities in Canada in the National Survey of Student Engagement for its block-based teaching model and self-directed academic environment. More information about the university is available on its website.

Restauration et Boissons

Quest University Canada has an on-campus dining hall open from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week. The dining hall offers a variety of hot meals, pastries, snacks, and beverages throughout the day. Red Tusk also has vending machines located in its lobby area which are available 24 hours a day.

Within 5 to 15 minutes driving, Squamish offers a number of breweries and restaurants suitable for all budgets and tastes, many of which offer outdoor seating in the summer. For fine-dining and more adventurous options, Vancouver and Whistler both offer renowned restaurants and bars about 40 to 60 minutes away via the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway.

Espaces verts et alentours

Quest's campus offers views of the Tantalus range to the west and the Britannia Range and Stawamus Chief to the south, making for picturesque walks throughout the campus. There is a small park located just below the University Heights development on University Blvd (just before crossing the bridge when leaving campus), as well as a playground area located at Jura Park 5-10 minutes from the campus on foot.

Numerous hiking and biking trails for all ability levels leave from the campus. Feel free to ask the Conference Services staff or front desk for recommendations!

Quest's campus has free WiFi available to guests in and around all of the residences and buildings on campus. Guests are provided with access information at check-in.

Campus facilities such as the recreation centre are reserved for student use throughout the year.
