The Lion is situated in Clifton upon Teme, a beautiful village overlooking the Teme Valley in Worcestershire. Originally an Anglo-Saxon settlement, the village contains many ancient buildings, including St Kenelm’s church and the pub. Steeped in history and surrounded by wonderful countryside, Clifton upon Teme is a haven for residents and visitors alike. It is a compact village set on high ground bordered by Sapey Brook to the east and the south flowing River Teme. At its heart is the Green with its ancient trees and pump and around which are clustered some of the village’s most noteworthy buildings including the lion inn.
Clifton upon Teme is situated some 9 miles south of Tenbury Wells and 11 miles from Worcester on a bend in the winding, Tenbury to Worcester Road.
