O Brasenose College está situado no centro da cidade, perto de uma grande variedade de lojas, restaurantes, bares, parques, museus, teatros e do rio. O colégio foi fundado em 1509. Suas estruturas históricas foram modernizadas para atender às necessidades do século XXI. Deixe-se levar pela atmosfera do Oxford College.

Os alojamentos da faculdade, utilizados pelos alunos durante todo o período letivo, são confortáveis, porém funcionais. Diferentemente de um hotel, os alojamentos estão repletos da glória e da beleza de mais de 500 anos de história. Se você procura algo diferente no coração de Oxford, Brasenose é o lugar certo.

Há quartos individuais ou duplos com banheiro privativo disponíveis, além de Wi-Fi gratuito, produtos de higiene pessoal, roupa de cama, toalhas e comodidades para preparar chá e café. Devido à idade dos prédios, o acesso para pessoas com dificuldades de mobilidade é restrito, mas especifique alguns requisitos especiais no momento da reserva e o Brasenose College fará o possível para atender à sua solicitação. Observe que berços não são fornecidos.

Brasenose é uma faculdade em funcionamento, portanto, despedidas de solteiro(a) não são permitidas para manter o ambiente adequado da faculdade.

História

The Royal Charter established a College to be called ‘The King's Hall and College of Brasenose’.  The founders of Brasenose College were Sir Richard Sutton, a lawyer, and William Smyth, Bishop of Lincoln. Both were from the north-west and the College has retained strong links with Cheshire and Lancashire throughout its history.

The greatest change in the history of Brasenose took place in 1971 when the College decided to alter the statutes to allow the admission of women. The first woman lecturer was appointed in 1972 and the first women undergraduates arrived in 1974.

Accommodation is sold on a room only basis.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from nearby and private dining is offered at the College for groups - subject to availability. Minimum numbers apply. Please contact the Events team directly for further private dining details.

Terrenos e jardins

Guests are welcome to take a stroll around the gardens and immerse themselves in the breath-taking view of the iconic Radcliffe Camera from either of the Quads. A place of peace and tranquillity where you can sit and read a book, relax and admire the view or just watch the world go by.

Broadband internet access via an ethernet cable is available in all rooms free of charge.

Wi-Fi is available in most parts of the College - access can be obtained from the Lodge team.

Please note: Many rooms are located upstairs and there are no lifts in any of the accommodation staircases. If you have mobility difficulties and require a low floor or accessible room, please note this in the 'Additional information' section when making your booking. The utmost will be done to support other special access needs, bearing in mind the constraints of listed buildings.

The Lodge staff will be happy to store small amounts of luggage for short periods of time, although space is not always available.

Please note that parking is unfortunately not available to guests. Whilst the College does not have any parking spaces available, all Park & Ride buses stop in close proximity to the College(city centre)

Smoking: all of the rooms are non-smoking. The College is a non-smoking site.

Wonderful accommodation overall, perfect location in the center of the university and town. Cannot beat the location and also the opportunity to live in one of the most famous and beautiful Oxford colleges. Porters at the entrance were lovely when it came to check in/out and leaving my bags the day I arrived / was checking out. Only less positive comments are about the lack of AC (understandable and expected given the age of the building) however there was no fan & I couldn’t open my window.

Spellbinding and gloriously beautiful. The staff were helpful, prompt, and courteous. Highly recommend and can't wait to return. Thank you all for a wonderful weekend. Thanks to the catering and service staff who put together a world-class dining event with 5 star gourmet food.

Quaint, quirky and comfortable! Twin ensuite on ground floor included a small fridge. Ancient building with modern comforts right in the centre of Oxford. Greatly enjoyed our stay, offering an insiders glimpse into Brasenose uni life

Absolutely wonderful staff at the front desk made my stay special, as did the beautifully kept grounds. The room was clean and comfortable, just a bit tucked away from the beautiful views I hoped would be available.

I was not in one of the main quads but instead had an amazing view over the church and the Bodleian which were far more exciting. My bed was made every day and the toilet and shower was always clean:

Everything great. There was no bathroom in the bedroom, but it was ok. The toilet and showers were very clean and never was anybody else there.

Brasenose College is located on the north side of High Street very close to the city centre, and a 10-minute walk or a short taxi ride from the railway station.

Buses from London, Heathrow, Gatwick, and most local buses stop a short walk from the College at the Queens Lane bus stop on the High Street.

Whilst the College does not have any parking spaces available, all Park & Ride buses stop in close proximity to the College(city centre)
