Visão geral

Harris Manchester College is situated in a quiet corner of Mansfield Road and Holywell Street. It is minutes away from the city centre, University parks and approximately 15/20 minutes walk from the railway station.

College facilities are not the same as a hotel but offer something more unique. The renovated period rooms are comfortable and perfect for a quiet stay in the heart of Oxford. Each room has tea and coffee-making facilities and cloud WI-Fi. They are all single ensuite or private-bathroom rooms with some twin rooms available.

História

Harris Manchester College is one of the constituent colleges of the university. It was founded in Warrington in 1757 as a college for unitarian students and moved to Oxford in 1893. It is a mature student college and was granted its university charter in 1996. It is the smallest undergraduate college in either of the Oxbridge Colleges, with around 250 students. 

Joseph Priestley, the scientist who discovered Oxygen, was among the first tutors of the College.

Tea and coffee making facilities are available in all bedrooms. 

The College is ideally situated in the city centre for food outlets, bars and restaurants. Information packs are available suggesting local attractions and restaurants. 

Breakfast may be available to buy on the day. Please check at reception for availability.

Harris Manchester College boasts beautiful grounds and open spaces. 

It is located just a few minutes walk from the University Parks and the Oxford Botanical Gardens.

Laundry facilities are located onsite, and guests can ask for directions from the check-in desk. 

Luggage storeage is available on a short-term basis before check-in time and after check-out time.

A beautiful room in a great location! The room at Harris Manchester was large, light, and airy, with a gorgeous view of the quad from the window. Although in a historical building (the clock tower), it felt modern and spotlessly clean. This college is also in a more quiet area that isn't quite as packed with tourists, yet it's only a few blocks to the Bodleian Library and other main attractions. I stayed in 3 different colleges during my trip, and this was the best!

I really enjoyed my stay and the room was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have the check-out times posted in the room and the option for a later check-out. Also, it would have been fabulous to have a small refrigerator in the room.

I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. The location alone was value for money. I enjoyed the quiet, motivational inscriptions and the Chapel. It gave me some insight about college life in Oxford. I thought it was a very special experience.

The room was nice and clean, the shower was good. It was very easy to access the centre of Oxford. The road outside my room was slightly noisy, with people walking away from the city centre during the evening.
