Overview

Weeks Hall is located within easy walking distance of South Kensington Tube station and attractions including the Royal Albert Hall, Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Vitoria and Albert Museum, Harrods and Hyde Park.

The residence offers 66 single rooms with shared bathroom facilities in a location that is the envy of many of London's finest hotels. Many of the rooms enjoy views over leafy Prince's Gardens; the only privately-owned London square open to the public.

History

Imperial College London was opened in 1907 and is one of the worlds foremost science and research universities.

Food & beverage

A full English breakfast is included in the price of the room and is served in the Senior Common Room in the Sherfield Bulding, a short walk from the residence between 7.00am and 10.00am on weekdays and 7.30am and 10.00am at weekends.

Snacks and light meals are available on campus throughout the day from various outlets.

Food and drink vending machines can be found onsite.

Eastside Bar and Restaurant

The Eastside Bar and Restaurant serves a delicious range of 'gastro-pub' style dishes perfect for lunch or dinner, as well as a superb range of ales and wines, teas and coffees. Conveniently located on the ground floor of the Eastside Halls of Residence, this venue is on the doorstep of any guest staying in Prince's Gardens or Beit Hall. Eastside is open daily from 12.00pm-11.00pm Monday to Saturday and from 12.00pm-10.00pm on Sundays.

Ethos Cafe

Ethos cafe is located on the ground floor of Ethos Sports Centre on the north side of Prince's Gardens. Serving a range of hot and cold drinks including barista-style coffee, fresh juice and smoothies, baguettes, sandwiches, paninis, salads and many more, Ethos cafe is ideal spot for a quick bite to eat or drink and relax after a swim or gym session.

Grounds & Gardens

Guests staying in Weeks Hall can enjoy use of the leafy Prince's Gardens. As London's only privately-owned public square, the Gardens offer a beautiful green tranquil space in the heart of central London. For those who want to venture out of the College grounds, Hyde Park is only a short walk away with vast green space and lake.

Other facilities

Guests staying in Weeks Hall receive complimentary access to Ethos gym and swimming pool (charges apply for the rest of the facilities). Located on the north side of Prince's Gardens, Ethos Sports Centre offers 25m swimming pool complete with sauna, steam room and spa, fitness gym, exercise studio for classes, sports hall for badminton, table tennis, basketball and 5-a-side football, climbing wall, three squash courts, treatments.

Individual wired internet and telephone access is available in every bedroom. Wifi access is available in all public areas. it costs £5.00 to purchase internet access for the duration of your stay.

24 hour front entrance CCTV in operation

Brilliant location, excellent breakfast (and the organisation of us all!) room was ok, satisfactory, certainly clean. Very quiet room. Very good directions to the University,could be a few more signs to indicate the Common Room for breakfast. Doesn't say Sherfield building, or which direction to take.

It is good to be able to find single accommodation that does not make one feel as if one is being penalized financially for travelling alone ! My room was simple but exactly what I needed for an overnight stop. Sports facilities and overall service was excellent.

Clean room, great value, good breakfast and excellent location, if the check-out time can be by midday and the showerhead can be improved(it is fixed,too small and water is not strong enough for long hair), I will rate it just excellent!

Separate shared toilet has no handwashing facility. Shared shower drains very slowly - may be clogged. Microwave in shared kitchen disconnected for no given reason. Availability of 2 fridges in shared kitchen was very convenient.

Only one in three lights worked initially. Staff tried to resolve matters and where attentive in dealing with the issue.

Directions: At South Kensington station, turn right into the subway sign-posted for the museums and continue for approx. 5 minutes until you reach the very end of the subway. At the exit, cross the road and turn left up Exhibition Road walking towards Hyde Park. Take the second side street on the right that is Watts Way, half way along the path, you will see the entrance to reception which is located in Falmouth Hall in Southside building on your right hand side approaching from Exhibition Road.

By Car: Unfortunately, we do not offer parking. Please note that central London operates a Congestion Charge zone between the hours of 7.00am-6.30pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays.
