Ann's Hutch is on a quieter part of Mudeford Sandbank, nearer Long Beach, away from The Beach House restaurant and The Land Train Stop. It is one of a few huts with a double aspect, overlooking the sea, and Christchurch Harbour. It can be reached by The Mudeford Ferry, from Mudeford Quay, or by the Hengistbury Head Land Train from the Hiker restaurant near Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre.
From Mudeford Quay, you can walk along the beach to The Noisy Lobster restaurant, and on to Highcliffe Castle, and Highcliffe. There is a smaller ferry, from Mudeford Sandbank to Christchurch Quay, near to Christchurch Priory, and to Tuckton Tea Gardens, allowing guests to explore Christchurch, or to have a coffee or a meal in one of the many restaurants. It is a short walk along Mudeford Sandbank to The Beach House cafe bar and food court, which looks over Christchurch Harbour.
Christchurch Harbour runs out to Christchurch Bay through "The Run", where Mudeford Quay provides a location for fishing and crabbing.
Ann's Hutch is one of the larger huts, and is set up for 4 people, with a double sofa bed, and two bunk beds. No bedding or beach towels are provided, so guests must provide their own.
The hut has Beach chairs, and a picnic bench on the sand looking east over the sea, to The Needles on the Isle of Wight. You can have breakfast on the sand watching the sea, then supper on the veranda, watching the sunset over Christchurch Priory.
The fully equipped kitchen has a calor gas oven, with grill and 2 rings, and an electric fridge freezer, LED lights powered by solar panels together with a USP charging point for a mobile phone. There is a drop-down table inside for a meal.
Sofas look out of the front windows over the veranda towards Christchurch Harbour and Christchurch.
There are plenty of books, board games, binoculars and buckets and spades to use.
Ann's Hutch is perfect for a break from normal life, to live instead on a beach, overlooking the sea, and be able to go to sleep hearing the lapping of the waves.
