It is the best known frontier in the entire Roman Empire and stands as a reminder of one of the world's greatest civilisations. Located closely is The Old Repeater Station, a large detached stone building near the most scenic part of Hadrian’s Wall.

We are ideally situated for walkers and cyclists due to our close proximity to Hadrian's Wall. Drivers can leave their car here if preferred to visit sites along the Wall. The Hadrian's Wall bus service which calls at all the main Roman sites passes the front door.

The Old Repeater Station is unique, a large detached stone building with a slate roof. The property makes extensive use of eco / green technology including geothermal heating and wood burning stoves. Our water comes from a private source for domestic usage and also heats the building via air source heat pumps.

Also provided at The Old Repeater are a licensed bar, cafe facilities, packed lunches, lunch and dinner. Lifts can be arranged to your walking point.
