Location; Cockburn Street is an old town cobbled street which runs from the High Street downhill to Market Street. If walking downhill the hotel will be on the left around 100 meters from the top. Look out for Anchor Close and the words ‘The Scotsman’ on a gold sign at the front of the building.

• By Rail; The nearest mainline railway station to the hotel is Waverley Station, about a five-minute walk away from the hotel. When arriving at the station, exit into Market Street, turn right and Cockburn Street is the next left (an uphill cobbled street). The hotel is on the right-hand side, halfway up the hill.
• By Air; Arriving at Edinburgh Airport there are three main options for reaching the hotel. Option 1 would be the service 100 Airlink bus which leaves from the domestic departure area and terminates at Waverley Bridge, from there it is a five-minute walk to the hotel. Option 2 would be to use Edinburgh’s new Tram service and alight at the east end of Princes Street near Waverley Station, again the walk from here is fairly short. The third option would be a black taxi or private hire cab direct from the airport, the journey time would be close to 25 minutes and cost around £25.
