We welcome you to the Sea Trout Inn which is a Palmers Brewery establishment, a gem nestled in the beautiful historical village of Staverton, which is situated on the river Dart and the Steam Valley railway line. The Sea Trout Inn has been providing quality accommodation and food in the hospitality industry for over the past 100 years, Idyllic, traditional 15th-century Devon inn. The public bar is rustic and quintessential old coaching inn, with the lounge bar having a log fire in winter and also being used used by those who would rather dine less formally than in the restaurant. There is also a conservatory, patio garden with al fresco dining in the warmer months, and a small tabled patio at the front of the pub. which is ideal for people passing through, walkers enjoying the scenic walks surrounding the area, including Dartmoor which is only a stones throw away, walks into Dartington Hall, gardens and Arts centre. The nearest local town is the historical castled town of Totnes or just to enjoy a few nights away taking in the outstanding beauty of South Devon areas.
The restaurant boasts a great Al Fresco menu, along with a large restaurant menu, likewise a patio beer garden light lunch menu. The Chef is more than happy on request to cater for any nutritional needs.
The accommodation comprise of twins, doubles, super king and family rooms, all of which have en suite facilities and we serve breakfast every morning. We do have one special bedroom put aside for special occasions, romantic getaways, honeymoons or just a bit of luxury so please feel free to ask.
We also have an annex cottage which sleeps 3 adults comfortably. We have a couple of dog friendly rooms, please contact us first if you wish to bring a dog with you.
