概述

This newly refurbished row of period Victorian Houses, complemented by a brand new modern annexe, is located in Paddington, just minutes away from leafy Hyde Park, the Paddington Basin, and Marble Arch, and provides the ideal base for education groups visiting London. Paddington mainlines (Heathrow Express train terminus) and Paddington Underground station is also just a five-minute walk apart. There are many daily bus services in the town, and it is conveniently situated close to many amenities.

Wilson House has a minimum 2-night stay.

历史

Wilson House is named after Charles Wilson, 1st Baron Moran, who was the Dean of St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School (now part of Imperial College, London). Charles Wilson was also famous for being Sir Winston Churchill’s personal physician.

Paddington is a popular location with Londoners, offering many restaurants, high-class bars and gastronomic pubs. The nearest pub is across the road from Wilson House. On Praed Street, a few minutes walk from the residence, there are also plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes.

Free Internet access is available to guests for the duration of your stay. To access the internet in the bedrooms will require an ethernet cable. Communal areas have a WIFI internet connection. Cables can be purchased at reception for an additional cost.

Cashless laundry facilities are available. A wash cycle is £2.20 and a dry cycle is £1.20.

On arrival please report to the Reception, which is manned 24 hours a day.

Directions from Edgware Road underground Station to Wilson House (6 min.): Head southwest on Chapel St/A501 toward Cabbell St.Turn left onto Edgware Rd/A5. Turn right onto Sussex Gardens/A42. Destination will be on the right.

Nearest underground Station: Paddington Station/Edgware Road: If you are travelling by underground, Paddington and Edgware Road (Circle, District, Bakerloo and Hammersmith & City lines) are both within five to ten minutes’ walk of the hall. Paddington is also a mainline railway station. A taxi from these stations will cost you around £10.00.

You can reach the hall by car from Bayswater Road, or from Edgware Road.
