Come and stay in one of our charming, converted stables, situated in the picturesque village of Barrington, 7 miles south-west of Cambridge, said to have one of the largest village greens in England.
The stables are located in a little oasis, in the grounds of an old windmill, itself converted to a dwelling over 60 years ago. There is access to a swimming pool, pizza oven and BBQ, boules pitch, gardens and outside seating areas to relax and unwind in.
Each stable sleeps up to 2 adults, is finished to a high spec and is fully-equipped for a self-catering holiday. Ideal for couples, a romantic break, a relaxing getaway, a business trip, or a group booking.
The stables provide a great base for exploring the beautiful countryside of South Cambridgeshire with its many local attractions, great local walks and cycling routes. We are only a few minutes' walk from the charming, beamed village pub that has been overlooking the village green since the Middle Ages.
All the stables have a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with a handy breakfast bar or table and chairs, along with a cosy leather sofa to relax in and watch something on the smart TV. It is decorated with amazing prints from Sylvia Smettem, winner of Best Amateur Artist of the Year at the Royal Academy, and soft warm colours on the wall to give a homely feel.
Through the oak bi-fold doors is the bedroom with lovely views over the fields/ gardens. A comfortable large king size bed is adjoined by a luxurious ensuite shower room. A large shower tray with beautiful marble effect panels, large shower head and heated towel rails.
The floor is Karndean in a herringbone pattern, in typical fashion of old stables, and has underfloor heating throughout providing a comfortable and warm place to stay throughout the year.
