Überblick

Das Frances Gardner House liegt direkt an der Grays Inn Road hinter St. Andrew's Gardens (WC1X 0HD) und bietet eine preiswerte Sommerunterkunft für Gruppen und Einzelpersonen. Die Rezeption, einschließlich Check-in, befindet sich in Langton Close, ebenfalls am selben Standort. Die Einrichtungen in Langton Close stehen allen Gästen des Frances Gardner House zur Verfügung.

Die Unterbringung erfolgt ausschließlich in Einzelzimmern mit eigenem Bad. Bis zu sieben Gäste teilen sich die Küche.

Mehrere Museen, darunter das British Museum, das Dickens House Museum, das Foundling Museum und das Sir John Soane's Museum, sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Brunswick Centre und der Exmouth Market bieten Einkaufs- und Gastronomiemöglichkeiten und sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das West End ist mit Bus und U-Bahn ebenso gut erreichbar wie die Royal Courts of Justice, die St. Paul's Cathedral und die City of London.

Aus Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsgründen sind alle Fenster mit Fensterbegrenzern ausgestattet. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage vor Ort.

Essen & Getränke

Frances Gardner House offers self-catering facilities including the use of communal kitchens. These kitchens are fully equipped and all have refrigerators, freezers, cookers, kettles and microwaves with limited crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

Kitchens are cleaned frequently (once per week), but guests are responsible for cleaning and tidying up. 

Kitchens and communal rooms can be used 24 hours a day. Please observe quiet after 11.00 pm as this might cause disturbance to other guests.

St. Andrew's Gardens is a public garden adjacent to Frances Gardner House and is open from 07:30 am.

All bedrooms have complimentary Wi-Fi. There is no smoking inside any UCL building. Smoking is permitted in courtyards with consideration for other guests.

Guests staying at Frances Gardner House can use the laundry facilities(washing machine & dryer), common room and TV lounge at Langton Close which is adjacent.   For the laundry, this is to be paid via the app. 

If guests wish to bring their bicycles, there is a secure bike shed on site.

There are window restrictors on all windows for H&S reasons.  There is no AC on site.

There were clearly issues with over booking/lack of rooms but the (very young and inexperienced) staff eventually managed to find me a room. They were courteous and polite at all times and kept me informed. My room was on the ground floor opposite the kitchen/social hub. Although I was concerned about noise-everything was quiet by bedtime and the other guests in my block: a group of Spanish research students were a joy to spend time with. Well done. I would definitely use your services again.

This was my second stay at the FGH and a much more comfortable one. Given the summer heat wave, I appreciate being placed on a lower floor, being assigned a room that did not get the morning sun on request and having a table fan. It was also very useful to have access to a kitchen. I appreciate the staff being very responsive - providing an extra pillow and doing a linen change in a timely manner.

The rooms are super hot, regardless of the weather which actually affected my experience to a high degree. While adding AC might not be feasible, having extra fans might help immensely. Other than this the rooms were great. Super clean too :)

The address is just a little difficult if you are not so young and reliant on public transport. As compensation there is an excellent place for breakfast, Andrew's, not too far away.

The reception office is open 24 hours a day. The reception is located on Langton Close, just before Frances Gardner House. 

Guests must present valid photographic identification such as a passport or driving licence when checking in.

No parking nor storage facilities available on site.  Re lifts - not all blocks have lifts - if you require a lift to get to your bedroom, please email or ring site to inform them.

Nearest Underground Stations:  Chancery Lane (Central Line) - 13-minute walk 0.6 miles;  Russell Square (Piccadilly Line) - 11-minute walk 0.5 miles; Kings Cross St Pancras (Northern, Victoria, Piccadilly, Metropolitan, Circle, Hammersmith & City Lines) - 10-minute walk 0.5 mile

*It is recommended to search for the halls by this address or postcode as using 'Frances Gardner House' may not take you to the reception.
