The many original features of this magnificent building built in 1791 have been maintained or restored during the sensitive 2014 refurbishment. The return of Albion House, Ramsgate to all its majesty has seen the introduction of Italian Carrara marble bathrooms, renewed sash windows, exquisite furnishings and the original cornices remoulded and replaced.

This is a place where artists came to paint – both Turner and Van Gogh have famously painted in this area, the extraordinary light in this small part of the world drawing their attention.
The House has always offered itself as a place of congregation whether for civic matters or for rest and relaxation. We explore some of the activities The House at Ramsgate would have played in Georgian times and are still popular today.
We welcome families to The House at Ramsgate and provide interconnecting rooms so, as parents, you can enjoy a little peace and privacy.
There are many wonderful places for children to visit locally and we can of course provide a package of information for entertaining the young ones.
The clifftop location of The House affords it an incredible vantage point over the beach, a view that stretches right down to the Royal Harbour. Our library of images illustrate the luxury found in our bedrooms and provides a taste of the views you will experience from them.
