Abbey Guest House is a family-run, quiet, 4 star Gold rated guest house. It offers immaculately furnished and decorated en-suite rooms and prides itself on its high level of service and standard of accommodation. A lift was installed in September 2014 thereby ensuring that the whole house is accessible to all.
Breakfast is usually served around 1 or 2 large 'family style' breakfast tables, one of which overlooks the rear garden so enabling guests to occasionally watch the local birdlife also partaking of breakfast. Any guest wishing to 'opt out' of the family approach is asked to let Terry know when they check in so that they can be accommodated at a 3rd separate table that is normally reserved for guests using the 'self-serve' facilities.
The guest house is situated in the peaceful village of Abingdon, just off the A34, 6 miles from the historic city of Oxford famous for its sights, colleges and museums. There are two local pubs within 400 yards of the guest house that both supply good quality food for evening meals. Alternatively a 10-15-minute walk into the centre of town gives visitors access to numerous other restaurants and pubs.
The location provides excellent transport links to Culham, Didcot, Marcham and Oxford. Off-road car parking and FREE Wi-Fi internet access is available.
There is a 'per night' charge for babies and a cot is provided.
