Overview

PLEASE SEE THE COVID-19 HEADING ON MY WEBSITE FOR CURRENT UPDATES AND SAFETY PROCESSES IN PLACE.

Alpine Lodge Guest House has again retained the AA 4* Gold Accreditation for 2020 for the 6th year in succession!

Built in the late 19th Century in the heart of Victorian Buxton, Alpine Lodge has been totally refurbished to create welcoming and luxurious bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation, situated in a tree-lined residential road within close proximity to the town centre. Buxton Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens a mere 10 minutes stroll from the house. A wonderful selection of excellent quality restaurants, wine bars and traditional pubs are all within short walking distance, however, due to the current restrictions it would be advisable to book a table prior to your arrival date.

Buxton is well known for its Georgian & Victorian architecture and attracts visitors from all over the world with many cultural events staged throughout the year, especially in July with the spectacular Buxton Festival - sadly cancelled this year due to the Government Guidelines following the Covid-19 outbreak. All the usual activities from April onwards were cancelled including the Well Dressings, musical festivals, horse trials and the Flower Festival at Chatsworth. However our location makes it a superb base from which to explore the Peak District National Park and Derbyshire Dales taking in the Goyt Valley, Kinder Scout and the Manifold Valley. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Lyme Park are all within easy travelling distance - local bus and train services make them all easy to visit without the need to take the car. Bakewell, Dove Dale, Castleton, Ashbourne and Matlock - to name but a few - are all close by.

Check in: 17:00 (5:00pm) - 19:00 (7:00pm) (arrivals may be allowed outside this window if your travel plans can't be adjusted however this is subject to availability)

Check out: Before 10:30 (10:30am)
