With an open fire place and Log burner within the property the invitation to settle down and stay is clear.
This property is over 100 years old so some access is a little difficult for those less mobile with the accommodation being on the first floor up a set of stairs.
The bar is a busy area with locals and regular customers welcoming all in. It is highly recommended that you reserve a table if wanting to dine at the pub.
Some events are held at the pub, music and dining special events such as Burns Night and Oktoberfest throughout the year. We recommend contacting us before your stay.
The Horseshoe and Castle has, over the years, received excellent reviews from Kent Life magazine as a fond favourite and exemplary articles from travel writers Tom Cheshyre, Carol Donaldson and Janet Street Porter taking a well-earned respite after one of many walks to be enjoyed including part of the Saxon Shore Way and R.S.P.B Nature Reserve.
The Horseshoe and Castle is a dog friendly Free House where well behaved dogs are welcome.
