Oaklands Guest House is a beautiful Edwardian property, combining historic character with modern comfort in one of Weymouth's peaceful areas, just a short walk from the beach and town centre.
Built in 1902, Oaklands has a fascinating history and was originally commissioned by Sir Frederick John William Johnstone, 8th Baronet, a prominent local figure and former Member of Parliament. Today, the house retains many of its original Edwardian features, alongside the comforts expected by modern travellers.
Much of what guests love about Oaklands today is thanks to Tim and Teresa, who lovingly restored and cared for the property over the past nine years. Their dedication, attention to detail and exceptional hospitality have earned Oaklands its outstanding reputation, and we are honoured to continue the legacy they created.
We are delighted that we recently took over Oaklands and begin the next chapter in its story. Our commitment is to preserve everything that makes Oaklands so special while offering every guest a warm welcome, genuine hospitality and a memorable stay.
We look forward to welcoming you.
