Overview

This former abattoir and butchers is the oldest timber-framed building in Lutterworth a historic thatched roof property dating back to the 16th century, it was a first used as a public house in 1791 until 1840 it was then converted back to a home and butchers shop. In 1982 it was converted back into a public house and named the Shambles.

Conveniently located for the M1 and within easy reach of Magna Park. The shambles has a 30 cover restaurant serving traditional home cooked food a separate children's menu is available. Breakfast served at the weekends from 8.30am.

The are specials on the menu and these change daily as well as offering a wide range of seasonal choices throughout the year. All our food is source locally, where possible.

The Shambles is now run by Denise & George East who took over in 2008 and have upgraded the accommodation so all rooms now have en suite showers with flat screen freeview televisions, as well coffee & tea making facilities.
