Enjoy the thrill of clay pigeon shooting!
This session will involve being picked up in The Fortingall Land Rover by your instructor from outside The Fortingall hotel and driven to South Chesthill Estate. Pick up time 9.30am or 2.00pm depending on whether you choose AM or PM (look out for The Fortingall Land Rover). The shooting will take around two hours, and the total round trip to South Chesthill including set up should take around three hours.
Up to 2 people permitted to shoot. Children (minimum age 14) must be accompanied by an adult. Clays will be a mixture of 'going away' and crossing. The trap is a recreational grade rather than professional so is ideally suited to beginner and intermediate shots. Expect 50-80 clays depending on the amount of instruction you require.
You will be provided with a shot gun, cartridges, ear defenders and eye protection. You will be given a safety brief and given tuition if you are a beginner / if requested. A hot drink will be offered/included. On the additional information form, please give an indication of your height and build, and a suitable shot gun will be supplied for you (12 bore or 20 bore).
Whilst it is not an expectation, a small cash tip to your instructor is always greatly appreciated, depending on how happy you are happy with your experience.
