La Foresteria Valdese est située au cœur de l'Oltrarno, à proximité du Ponte Vecchio, de la Galerie des Offices, de la Piazza della Signoria et des principales attractions touristiques de la ville. Le bâtiment qui l'abrite, le Palazzo Salviati, véritable trésor d'œuvres d'art, a été construit vers le milieu du XVIIe siècle et offert à la Table vaudoise à la fin du XIXe siècle. Aujourd'hui, la Foresteria Valdese de Florence propose des chambres idéales pour accueillir les voyageurs seuls, les familles, les couples et les groupes.

Histoire

The Foresteria Valdese in Florence offers holidays based on the values ​​of solidarity and responsible tourism in Tuscany, contributing with its profits to supporting activities for minors in difficulty. In fact, since 1922 the building has housed the Gould Institute which, even today, offers services and activities for the reception, training and support of minors in conditions of social hardship.

The Foresteria was therefore born in the late sixties to support the costs of the Institute and is managed by the Waldensian Diaconia, allocating its profits like the other Waldensian Houses, Hotels and Guest Houses, to support the works and projects of the Body its business by enhancing the dimensions of welcoming people, solidarity, environmental sustainability of their work.
This historic building in the center of Florence, where the reality of a stately home is intertwined with that of the Waldensian Church, is the perfect holiday home to stay in Florence, admiring prestigious works of art in a context of social commitment.

Breakfast service is available. Half board and full board can be requested only by groups.

The buffet breakfast and meals are served in the rooms on the first floor and are set menus.The menus, inspired by the Tuscan regional tradition, are prepared in the kitchens by Hoster Food. Variations available for guests following special diets for health, religious or ethical reasons.

The property has numerous meeting rooms and a monumental hall that can accommodate up to 99 people. It is possible to arrange coffee breaks, aperitifs and refreshments. Notre famille de quatre personnes a adoré l'ambiance générale de l'établissement ! Nous avons apprécié sa proximité avec tout, sans pour autant être en plein cœur de l'agitation touristique ! On trouve plein d'endroits où se restaurer ou boire un verre. Suite à des circonstances imprévues, nous avons dû arriver en dehors des heures d'ouverture ; un e-mail très détaillé, accompagné d'une vidéo, a grandement facilité les choses ! Le prix était parfaitement adapté à notre budget !

Cet hôtel reverse l'intégralité de ses bénéfices aux sans-abri, aux personnes handicapées et à un orphelinat voisin. C'est un endroit simple mais charmant, à quelques pas de l'Arno et du cœur de la vieille Florence. Il n'y a pas de service en chambre : il faut demander si besoin. Les lits sont fermes et les oreillers plats, mais les draps sont propres et la chambre est tout à fait convenable : un endroit où dormir, car Florence regorge de choses à voir. Source : Google

La chambre était simple, fonctionnelle et propre, notamment la salle de douche et les toilettes. La décoration était un peu vieillotte. L'hôtel était situé juste à l'extérieur du centre-ville, mais facile à trouver. Une soirée animée avait lieu juste à côté, offrant un aperçu de l'ambiance florentine nocturne. La musique était audible sans être envahissante. On nous a ensuite conseillé un bon restaurant pour le dîner.

Le personnel était accueillant et très serviable. Je me suis sentie en sécurité et l'emplacement est idéal. La chambre était propre et spacieuse. Seul petit bémol : la chambre pouvait être un peu étouffante. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT: You can take the T2 Vespucci tramway line. BY CAR: Leave the motorway at the "Firenze Impruneta" exit and continue in the direction of the center of Florence. At the end of the latter, turn left onto Lungarno Gucciardini, continue to the traffic lights and turn left again into via dei Serragli until you reach n ° 49 (black numbering).
