there is a comfortable well stocked bar/lounge with a log fire in winter for guests to relax in, and two acres of garden to wander and explore. there is also many stunning walks nearby,through Eggerslack wood to the top of the fell or over the fell to Cartmel
Many guests visit purely to walk up Hampsfell itself, to discover the breathtaking views it offers. On a clear day you can see right across Morecambe Bay and the surrounding area. Once on top of the fell you can rest awhile in the stone hospice and read the poems left by Edwardian and Victorian visitors.
