Histoire

The Manor House Hotel lies in a quiet valley, surrounded by 365 acres of woodland, parkland, gardens and the Bybrook river. The house dates back to the 14th Century and has been a hotel since the 1940's. The house and gardens are Grade II listed and there is an abundance of original features including 15th Century beams, wattle and daube walls and a heritage orchard. Guests might recognise The Manor House from the original Dr Dolittle, filmed in Castle Combe in the 1960's!

Restauration et Boissons

Bybrook is served on weekdays between 7.00am and 10.00am and between 7.30am and 10.30am at the weekend. The Michelin starred Bybrook restaurant serves dinner Wednesday to Sunday between 6.00pm and 8.30pm. Guests have the option of the three course Bybrook menu and a six course Tasting menu. Food is also available everyday from midday from a Casual Dining style menu in the hotel lounges and on the terrace, overlooking the lawns and Bybrook river. Afternoon Tea is served everyday from 1.00pm. Our village pub, The Castle Inn, serves food everyday from midday until 2.30pm and again from 5.30pm until 8.30pm and the golf Clubhouse is open everyday from 7.00am until 8.00pm (opening hours may vary depending on the season).

Wifi is available free of charge throughout the hotel and bedrooms. Luggage can be stored in the cloakroom at Reception. There is an 18 hole Championship course with tee times available to hotel residents from 11.00 each day (subject to availability). Pre-booking is strongly recommended. There is a croquet lawn and tennis court with equipment available from Reception. There is a treatment room in the gardens, The Potting Shed, offering massages and facials. Treatments start from £85.00 for 60 minutes, pre-booking is essential.
