Storia

King's College London was founded by King George IV and the Duke of Wellington (then Prime Minister) in 1829 as a university college in the tradition of the Church of England. It now welcomes staff and students of all faiths and beliefs. King's professors played a major part in nineteenth-century science, and in extending higher education to women, working men and through evening classes.

Self-catering for individuals is permitted in the shared kitchen, but guests must provide their own crockery, cutlery and utensils as these are not supplied.

A continental breakfast is included in the price of the room (Unless otherwise stated on the room type title booked, please note that some rooms are offered as Room only). This is served in the Breakfast room on the ground floor from 7.30am to 10.00am

Continental Breakfast consists of a selection of cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants & pastries, ham & cheese, hard-boiled eggs, toast & jam, orange, apple & cranberry juice, tea & coffee. 

Borough Market is a short walk from the residence and offers a mouth-watering variety of fresh and cooked food, along with a fine variety of restaurants and bars.

Tutto perfetto, la struttura sembrava ben gestita e la camera, semplice ma molto pulita e confortevole, era un po' calda, ma il clima era piuttosto mite e ho potuto lasciare la finestra aperta visto che si trovava al terzo piano. Un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, grazie a tutto lo staff.

Friendly and helpful receptionists. Excellent value somewhat diluted by the room being on the top floor (6) and the lift being out of action - six floors with a suitcase is quite a workout for a pensioner, even a fit one!

You have to be a contortionist to use the shower. A pity there was no kettle, crockery and cutlery in the kitchen. Appreciated having great value accommodation in London.

Perfect for what we needed. Very centrally located for Tate Modern and Southbank. Staff friendly and rooms very clean. Would recommend and will use again.

On arrival please report to the Reception, which is manned 24 hours per day.

Directions: Upon exiting Borough Station walk along Great Dover Street heading south and you will eventually reach the residence on the left-hand side.

By Car:  Unfortunately, the property does not offer parking. Please note that central London operates a Congestion Charge zone between the hours of 7am-6.30pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays. The current daily charge when entering the zone is £11.50, to find out more and how to pay please visit the following website www.cclondon.com 

By Tube: Borough (Northern Line) is the nearest tube station. You can pick up the Borough line from London Bridge (Northern and Jubilee lines). A taxi should cost under £10 from Borough station to the residence.

By Rail: London Bridge station with services to South London and Kent.

By Bus: Excellent bus services to all areas of London. The number 21 service travels north through Great Dover St to the City, Shoreditch and Newington Green and south to Lewisham. Other services are accessible from the end of the road to many parts of the city. Other Buses: C10 - Victoria Station/Canada Water, 35 - Shoreditch/Battersea, 1 - Oxford St/Canada Water, 168 - Camden/Old Kent Road, 40 - Dulwich/Whitechapel, 133 - Liverpool St/ Streatham.
