Historie

Villa Riccio is a residential complex that dates back to 1920, built on the model of the garden city, spread over an area of three hectares, between the Tiber river and the Parioli district. The buildings are situated in a park with gardens and tall trees, making this a green and quiet oasis in the heart of Rome, between Piazza del Popolo and Ponte Milvio.

Breakfast includes orange juice, coffee, milk, tea, biscuits, toast, bread, butter, jam, yogurt, cereal. On request we serve cheese, ham and eggs.

On request we also serve gluten-free and sugar-free products.

Two acres of gardens and boulevards are part of “Villa Riccio” and here guests can walk or enjoy the breeze on the benches of the Villa.

Within walking distance are Villa Borghese and the Bioparco (Zoo).

Also Villa Gori is not far away and is easily reachable on foot, as are the gardens of Auditorium Parco della Musica.

How to get to the B&B by public transport

From Rome Fiumicino Airport "Leonardo da Vinci": train Leonardo Express to Rome Termini Station.

From Termini Station: bus 910 from the platform H in Piazza dei Cinquecento (the square opposite the Station). Get off at the first stop of Viale del Vignola. Alternatively, metro A, direction Battistini. Get off at Flaminio. Then tram 2 for three stops (Piazzale Ankara, Stadio Flaminio). Cross Via Flaminia and take Viale del  Vignola.

From Rome Ciampino Airport: shuttle bus till Metro Station Anagnina. Then Metro A till Flaminio and tram 2 for 3 stops. 

By taxi: always make sure that the taxi is from a company authorized by the City of Rome: white with the word "TAXI" on it and the phone number of the company on the side of the car (for example: 06 – 6645, 3570, 4994..).

Beware of strangers who propose to accompany you. Surely they are not legal because the taxi drivers are not allowed to offer rides to customers.

Limousine Service: On request, transfers to and from the airports with a private limousine.

By car: From GRA, exit 6 towards Via Flaminia, directions "Centre of Rome - Tor di Quinto - Saxa Rubra", and follow the signs for Corso Francia. Go straight on Ponte Flaminio, a bridge of white marble with monumental statues of eagles and lamps shaped lighthouse that passes over the Olympic Village. At the end of the bridge you will see the Auditorium Parco della Musica on the left and the Stadio Flaminio on the right. Continue to the end of the viaduct, turn right and continue straight ahead. Go over traffic lights and crossroads with Viale Tiziano and then Via Flaminia, and drive on Via Fracassi till you reach the Tiber. Turn immediately right into Via Donatello and then left on Via del Vignola. 

Attention: The B&B A Villa Riccio is located in a residential complex with private garden “Villa Riccio”, which has different entrances. Entering from the gate of Viale del Vignola 75, the building 2 is the first on the right.

Please note that tourists visiting the city of Rome will be requested to pay a Tourist Tax of €2.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the price of the room and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival.
