Tower, Flintshire

Tower is a unique house it started life as a fortified solar tower, its earliest recorded existence is in 1460 although it undoubtable dates back further. In 1660, it was modernised with a queen Ann style wing replacing a much earlier Hall house. This was again extended in 1860 with a service wing. The results of the centuries of home improvements is a unique and comfortable country house.
Guests have the use of our bright and comfortable drawing room overlooking the lake and the rather more formal oak panelled stone vaulted dining room. All bedrooms are large and comfortable with either private or en-suite bathrooms.
Tower is our family home and has been for over 500 years, as such it is a collection of furniture pictures and artefacts gathered over the years. We are not a chain hotel, Tower is quirky and unique we aim to provide you with an authentic country house stay.
We however try to keep up with times with television sets in each room and do our very best to provide Wi-Fi throughout the house, we are however limited by our connection to the exchange. Trouser press irons hair dryers etc. are all available if you request them. We have a modern oil-fired boiler supplemented by a large wood burner to centrally heat the house in the winter. Both the drawing room and dining room have open wood fires.
Breakfast can either be served in the drawing room or the dining room, we provide a breakfast of your choice, if you let us know in advance we can cater for most taste and dietary requirements. We endeavour to source local ingredients from local producers wherever possible.
In real terms, we have unlimited free parking if you are arriving by bike we will find it safe and secure storage. We have not had anyone arrive on horseback for quite a few decades but if you choose to we can arrange stabling and grazing.
