The River Don Tavern and Lodge, Humberside

Situated on the Isle Of Axholme; The River Don Tavern and Lodge features a traditional country pub with modern lodge rooms in a peaceful country setting. But with good roads the towns of Goole, Scunthorpe and Doncaster are within 1/2 an hour; The cities of Shefield, leeds, Hull, York and Lincoln an hour.

The River Don Tavern has a traditional lounge bar with log fires that opens daily at 3.30pm (Sunday 12 noon); This room can seat up to 50, evening meals being served most nights until 8.30 pm. Adjoining the lounge bar our 40 seat restaurant available for Sunday carvery from 12 noon until 7.00 pm; . Food is unavailable on Monday evenings.

This room is available for private hire/functions, business/training meetings, celebrations, funerals etc.A full range of facilities are available
including food, drink, accommodation, meeting equipment, Wifi and ample free parking available.

For the explorer/holiday maker The River Don make an ideal base.Golf is available at 3 courses within 20 minutes drive. Bird watching reserves at Blacktoft sands, Crowle Moors and Potteric Carr near Doncaster.Plus Yorkshire Wildlife Park and The Deep within an hours drive.

Museums in the area range from Trolley buses at Sandtoft to Waterways at Goole and The Wesley family(The start of the Methodist religion) at Epworth.
