A Full Scottish Breakfast is available to you cooked fresh each morning and comprises locally sourced free-range produce, including unsmoked back bacon, butcher's sausages, free-range eggs (either scrambled, fried or poached), grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, haggis and beans.  Alternative options include homemade muesli, granola, yoghurt and fruit compotes.  There is also a choice of Carwardine's Fair Trade Tea or Coffee and hot chocolate.

The hotel has an honesty bar situated in the guest lounge, which is well stocked with beers, wine, spirits and soft drinks.

The Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh can be reached by a short bus drive. All the Art Museums and National Galleries in Edinburgh are Free Entry.
