The hotel is the sole occupant of an 18th century building, which was once a family home.
The hotel does not serve breakfast, but there are many markets, cafes and bakeries nearby with great selections of pastries, sandwiches, juices, cappucino, etc. Some even offer American-style breakfast.

From Santa Maria Novella Station: cross in front of the station and walk up Via Nazionale (the street is called "Largo Alinari" by the McDonald's across from the station, then becomes Via Nazionale) to Via Guelfa. Turn left and we're past mid block on the left.
From the airport: taxi service or "SITA" bus to santa maria Novella Station.
Please note that tourists visiting the city of Florence will be requested to pay a Tourist Tax of €2.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the price of the room and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival.
