历史

Formerly known as Cope Castle, this impressive Grade I listed building was originally built for diplomat Sir Walter Cope and has entertained a line of royal guests, including Prince of Wales, King James I and King William III. A large majority of the building was destroyed following the firebombing in the Blitz in 1940. A total of 22 bombs struck the building, leaving only the east wing and the library free from destruction, and still standing today.

Shared dorms also include secure lockers underneath the beds and all linen are provided. 

Towel hire available at £2 per towel with an additional £5 refundable deposit.
