METHODS
Brown Trout – Artificial Fly only.
Fishing with worm or maggot (real or artificial) is not permitted in any Association water at any time.
Fly fishing – maximum of 2 hook points per fly.
Spinning – On Rapala-type lures, 2 single hooks or 1 double hook on the tail may be used. Flying C-type lures must have 1 single hook only. TREBLE HOOKS ARE BANNED on all association waters.
Night Fishing is from sunset to one hour before sunrise, artificial fly only (without maggot or anything else attached).
WADING
Wading is permitted in all waters controlled by the Association.
LIMITS
Size:
Trout 8 inches, Sea-Trout 10 inches – All fish of these species and less than these lengths must be returned to the water unharmed.
Anglers must return all sea trout over 24 inches long unharmed.
Every person fishing shall put all the fish retained into a bag or a basket which shall always be opened on demand, to the inspection of the Water Bailiff. It shall be the duty of the Water Bailiff to inspect all bags and baskets so used.

Salmon – All salmon MUST BE RETURNED unharmed to the river.
Sea Trout – there is a daily bag limit* of two sea trout up till 1st June, and a daily bag limit* of four sea trout after 1st June. Catch and release is STRONGLY encouraged.
Brown Trout – There is a daily bag limit* of four brown trout. *The ‘daily bag limit’ applies to any 24 hour period from sun-rise to sun-rise the following day. Catch and release is STRONGLY encouraged.
Catch and Release: Please treat fish carefully, use a suitable landing net and handle them with wet hands, unhooking in the water if possible.
