Geschichte

Storm Jameson Court was opened in 2010 and was built to a very high specification, with students of the future in mind, as well as conference delegates and short break guests.  This high-quality residence is named after Margaret Storm Jameson, an alumnus of the University who went on to write more than 45 books.

One of the main criteria was to produce a highly accessible building.  Again, this supports the University's accessible aims to offer university education to everyone equally. But it is also placed in Leeds a unique building, with 20 accessible bedrooms, which would appeal to any individuals or groups, who normally have to make do with unadapted, standard hotel bedrooms.

Essen & Getränke

The bedrooms are sold on a room-only basis (equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities), but a wide range of self-serve breakfast fare is available for purchase from the University Refectory, just 100 metres from Storm Jameson Court.

For full details on the Refectory and the Coffee Bars at the University of Leeds visit this link: https://gfal.leeds.ac.uk/where-to-eat/

Guests have access to fridges in the adjacent kitchens but please note, that cooking is not possible.

Grundstücke und Gärten

Storm Jameson Court is one of a group of buildings forming Charles Morris Hall. It is sited on the attractive and historic campus of the University of Leeds in a very attractive area alongside tree-lined Victorian and Edwardian streets. The campus has many fine buildings, from the wonderful Victorian Great Hall, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, and the art deco Parkinson Building to the contemporary Marjorie and Arnold Ziff Building.

The grounds of the University are open for guests to stroll around and enjoy tree-fringed piazzas and avenues, or to relax by the fountains at the southern end of the campus by the Roger Stevens Building.

The University campus has many fully accessible routes to all areas, with ramps and automatic or electric doors to buildings.

Room suited my purpose, no television, but I did not need it tea / coffee making facilities with supplies great. For breakfast I got something from Tesco express a bit of a walk that I enjoyed. Very quiet, clean enough for me. Strong possibility that I will use it in the future.

I've stayed here before and it's way cheaper than any other option & always a good stay, nice room & facilities, central, very happy to keep returning. Only knocked a star off room and facilities as usually there's biscuits, and I could have done with more milk for tea & coffee!

Staff were really friendly, got lost trying to find whereabouts it was when I first arrived. Stayed overnight to see Maisie peters play in the stylus and was super close by. And was a lot cheaper then the quotes I was getting for hotels on the same night.
