History

Airth Castle is steeped in history dating back to the 14th Century. The present castle incorporates a 15th-century tower, known as Wallace's Tower, but it has been extended several times, notably in the 19th century which obscured much of the earlier buildings. The castle was owned by the Bruce family before it passed to the Elphinstone's and Dundas families before finally reaching the Grahams. The Graham family became Earls of Airth in 1633.

Food & beverage

Set beneath a dramatic pyramid of glass, the Grill Room is a focal point of the hotel and is one of the few venues in the UK to feature a Josper Grill, the latest oven to take the culinary world by storm and acclaimed by world-renowned chefs including Heston Blumenthal and Jamie Oliver. With dishes inspired by the grand Grill rooms of London, locally sourced ingredients are offered to guests, an inspired menu of timeless classics with a modern twist. Contemporary elegance and modern sophistication are the hallmarks of this exquisite restaurant – ideal for casual or more formal dining - with a welcoming lounge and piano bar to ponder menus or to relax. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Grounds & Gardens

The castle is surrounded by beautiful, secluded parkland so guests have plenty of space to walk and enjoy the fresh air and scenery.
