Overview

Alexander Fleming House is located in the business district of London, near St Paul's Cathedral and the Barbican Arts Centre. This part of London is very diverse in its culture and atmosphere, attracting artists and designers as well as large financial institutions and banks. Close by are the colourful markets of the East End as well as the more traditional tourist sights.

The halls consist of three separate buildings with private single study bedrooms of 4/6 or 8 in self-contained flats with washbasins. The bathroom and kitchen/diner is shared only with the other occupants of the flat.

Situated on a pleasant paved piazza, this hall is ideal for the traveller wanting to get a real feel for the sights and sounds of London. There are good transport links to the West End and theatreland. The halls are also safe, clean and secure with friendly staff on hand to make sure your stay is happy and memorable.

With regret, children are not permitted at this residence as there is a limit to 1 person per bedroom and children are not allowed to stay in a bedroom by themselves.

I stayed in a single, but nice-working tap basin, closet and desk. Very well clean bathroom/shower facilities, which was a super plus for me. A very basic uni room and if you're most out and about, it's the perfect place. Other guests were also very respectable and quiet. One thing is that it was very hot and not well-ventilated in summer, so do get a desk fan if you're staying for a long duration.

Very good value and location .. Only problem is in the hot 30 degree heat, windows are locked so can't be opened wider than an inch, so it gets very hot, humid and stuffy and it's hard to sleep .. Otherwise everything else was perfect! .. Just avoid staying in very hot days!

The staff were so kind and helpful. The location is absolutely brilliant, so near Moorgate and quiet. Only one thing I would have liked to see- the bathroom cleaned and a shower mat for each guest. Overall really positive and great place.

A private place to sleep and keep my things, a functional everything else. It was exactly what I'd hoped, given it was relatively inexpensive. Would recommend, would stay again.

Anon

Fantastic location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room with wash basin and adjoining bathroom were spotlessly clean. Easy and secure access. Heartily recommended.

Excellent Location and price. Very clean rooms. Bed mattress was worn out and bed headboard was loose waking me up every time I moved, but overall very good.

Anon
