NOTICE: Minimum 2 persons. Christ Church is open but not to guides to guide inside due to covid rules. Thus, this tour is a combined walking plus bicycle tour lasting about 5 hours with an additional 1-hour self-guided audio guide entry to Christ Church.
This tour is currently only possible to book with adequate advance notice- namely because due to Covid19, Christ church college is only open to advance purchased entry tickets. Such tickets sell out fast and only go on sale once every week. If it's impossible to purchase entry tickets for the tour, the booking will be cancelled and refunded. Confirmation will be made known when the booking is received.
The guided cycle tour follows the route of the original story-telling of 'Alice in Wonderland' on Thames River Path plus joins afterwards the popular Alice meets Harry Potter walking tour visiting inside Christchurch- the home of Alice & Lewis Carroll.
Christ church entrance fee (normal cost £16 per person is included in the ticket price, Bike hire and guided tour is also included (bikes will fit 1.3m above). Entry to Divinity School film site at the Bodleian worth £3 per person is also included as & when open.
This combined cycle and walking tour visits some real Oxford locations which inspired Lewis Carroll to create Alice in Wonderland for young Alice on a famous river-trip, following the route they did with a pleasant cycle by the Thames. Safety Information:
The bikes are provided for your Oxford bicycle tour but if some kind of tandem adult and child combined bicycle, these must be hired privately and advice is given.
Note that it's not obligatory to wear a bike helmet in Oxford, so helmets are provided upon request.
The tour operator has public liability insurance but please note that customers must understand that they are nevertheless riding at their own risk and to follow the general safety instructions given by the guide at the start of the tour and during the tour. It is also a condition of booking a bicycle tour, that the customer must be familiar with how to ride a bicycle.
Weather in the U.K. is unpredictable and so it is advisable to dress for any type of weather. It is Oxford bicycle tours policy not to cancel bookings due to poor weather unless decided it was unsafe riding conditions, such as icy conditions. On the day of the tour, if customers request due to very poor weather, to swap the bicycle tour element for a second walking tour, such option or a rescheduled date the bike tour element only will be considered
