Great value accommodation in the heart of London, quiet too. Only a 5 mins walk from the tube and lots of shops for food and drink nearby. Staff friendly. We had older rooms, which were clean and tidy. The rooms are warm and the beds very uncomfortable; despite complaining about a sprung mattress, this issue this was not resolved which was disappointing. Toilets & showers are basic but sufficient. The kitchen is functional, clean with the minimal amount of crockery & cutlery. Would book again.

I have stayed here before. It’s no frills accommodation in a great location at a relatively reasonable price. This time I was given a bigger room, but unfortunately the bedroom floor had a significant slant which resulted in the bed slanting significantly to the right when I lay down in it. This made lying on my on my back uncomfortable and I felt like I might roll out when lying facing to the right. This could be fixed by putting something under the lower two legs of the bed.

Very kind and friendly staff. I really appreciate all their help and warm welcome. The property and room were not as good as I expected. However for a budget stay it was fine. Spacious bedroom for 2 with enough sockets for charging. Plenty of showers in the flat and the kitchen was well-equipted. Hot water but the pressure was not so good in No. 115, M5 flat. Great location, easy access to anywhere in London.

Lovely staff (had a lot of problems with our key). I am in two minds whether a saucepan or two would have been useful as can see you don't want people to leave them unwashed. However we only needed the fridge, kettle, crockery and cutlery and that was all fine. Lovely airy kitchen for meals we self-catered. One omission was labelling of bins - I wasn't sure what to put in which colour of bin

Its a solid place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere cheap in london. But it is quite old facilities my tap only worked on super hot water, showers were a bit old and i would have appreciated more cleaning throughout my stay. But overally if youre just looking for a bed and bathroom its all you need

This particular building (Arthur Tattersalls House), the double bedroom was spacious, but rooms can require temporary furniture rearrangement. Plenty of toilets/showers, big kitchen, all very clean. Rooms on the main road are quite noisy however!

What I expected from Universiry Halls - A very pleasant stay and very pleasant and efficient service from staff - would definitely stay again
