Standing proud on Rodborough Common amongst the rambling hills of beautiful National Trust land, guests will find The Bear of Rodborough Hotel – a cosy, rural retreat that’s not too far from Stroud.

Originally built in the 17th Century, this former coaching inn provides a warm welcome for all, including four-legged friends who will feel right at home in the property's country house bedrooms with plenty of walks to enjoy. Bedrooms are full of homely charm – many with spectacular views out over the Cotswolds and beyond. A stay at The Bear is typically English, made complete by visits from occasional roaming cows and Pavilion Garden Bar!

Room furniture showing its age. On arrival, Bedside lights had no bulbs and TV was not tuned; these should have been checked by housekeeping prior to our arrival. Impressive food and outstanding service from staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
