The Carpenters Arms has 8 comfortable bedrooms which are located in the adjoining period property and offer quality accommodation to suit a variety of budgets. A few of our rooms are pet friendly at an additional charge of £10 per pet.
We are located just four miles from Newbury and a short drive from the Newbury bypass (A34, Tothill Services), in the village of Burghclere, The Carpenters Arms a country pub with a reputation for good food, great ales and a world wide selection of wines.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant from 8.00am - 10.00am Monday to Sunday, if you wish to leave early, we will leave you a continental breakfast in your room, for you to enjoy on your journey. Just let us know by 8pm the night before. This will include: water, fruit, pastry of the day, bag of crisps, and a piece of cake.

In your room you will find several items to enhance your stay: Tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, robes, luxury toiletries, hair dryer, free wi-fi and a welcome tray of water,
crisps, yummy cake, and a couple of apples to keep the doctor away.
Please let us know if you require any additional supplies, our friendly team are available at the bar.
In addition to the above, if you have forgotten any essentials, we have them available from the bar: toothbrush and toothpaste, razor and razor gel, shoeshine, sewing kit, nail care kit, and shower caps.
