Christ Church, Oxford

University residence

Located in the heart of the city, Christ Church is conveniently close to museums, shops and restaurants. If you are visiting Oxford during the Easter (March/April) and Summer (July, August, September) holiday periods, why not stay as guests of the college?

The buildings of architectural and historical interest reflect the differing centuries since the college’s foundation. There are no lifts in any accommodation staircases, with some bedrooms up several flights of stairs, which may make them unsuitable for those with mobility needs. There is a limited number of grounds and first floor rooms, so if you have any access requirements please include the details in the additional information box at the time of booking.

Christ Church offers rooms for single or twin occupancy. Ensuite bedrooms have their own basin, shower and toilet within the room. Standard rooms have their own basin but shared bathroom and toilet facilities. Please note: you may have to go up or down two or three flights of stairs from your bedroom to the nearest facilities.

The college is unable to accept bookings for Stag and Hen groups and can only accommodate adults (aged 18 and over). This includes babies/children sharing a room with adults. If such a booking is made you will be asked to cancel it, the refund amount will be in live with T&Cs or if you arrive at the property you will be refused entry and no refund will be given.

The JCR was certainly not up to scratch - I feel sorry for the students. A simple TV set (in the brochure, b...

Service was great, breakfast very comprehensive and what a treat to have breakfast in the Great Hall (aka Hogwarts dining room), where knowledgeable staff gave info about the artwork. We also went to a Christmas concert a...

A lovely stay at ChristChurch College. It is a basic room with ensuite as it’s normally part of the residences. But it was very clean, quiet, the location is perfect and an excellent breakfast is provided in the Great Hall. Staying at the college also provides an opportunity to visit the Cathedra...

Except for the walking up the stairs with our heavy luggages, I really do not have much complain about the place. The rooms are great and I wish I would stay for additional nights. The stay also allow you to save up on the £16 entrance fee to the college, which was great! It is also close by to W...

Really great to have access to a college room for the reunion dinner, check in process easy and clear and room was all as expected. Tea and toiletries a nice addition!

Having recently seen the rather small and spartan, cell-like student accommodation at another university, SAB is in a different league altogether.
