Dalrachney is an independent family run
Lodge in Carrbridge in the heart of the Scottish Highlands 15
minutes from Aviemore and is approached via a tree lined riverside driveway.
Dalrachney is a former Edwardian Hunting Lodge
dating from 1845, set in 2 acre grounds within the Cairngorms National Park and
rests directly beside our own stretch of the Dulnain River.
We recognise how precious your relaxation and
holiday time is away from home and we aim to provide a tranquil environment in
which to enjoy our wonderful surroundings. We hope you will come and
enjoy our Scottish hospitality with personal attention from the Proprietors.
We have Double, Twin, King and Super King rooms and our Superior Super King
rooms have handmade Savoir 6ft beds.
A freshly cooked breakfast is included in the room rate which includes such items
as a full Scottish breakfast, French Toast and Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs.
We no longer take dogs at Dalrachney either in the Lodge or left in vehicles overnight.
The property retains its original pitched pine woodwork and high corniced ceilings and new furnishings are in keeping with the character of the Lodge.
Carrbridge was described by Queen Victoria as "the jewel of the North". In the museum at Fochabers there is a dog cart used by King George V during his stay at Dalrachney Lodge.
Dalrachney is an ideal base for a memorable break.
Enjoy breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and numerous year-round outdoor
activities including walking, fishing, shooting, golfing, bird-watching, skiing and mountain biking (The Lochs and Glens Route National Cycle Network 7, one of the major Sustrans cycle routes passes through Carrbridge).
