We had the most amazing day at Betty Beach Hut! We’re a family of five with children aged 5, 2 and 1, and it was absolutely perfect. The front-row location with direct access to the beach made everything so easy with little ones, and the hut was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. We spent the day building sandcastles, paddling in the sea and making wonderful family memories. With cafés and toilets just a short walk away, it really spot on!

Very easy to book. Kept informed of my booking. Had a problem opening the padlock. Owner picked up her phone very quickly and explained what we were doing wrong. She was very pleasant about it and we were soon inside. It had everything we needed and a perfect spot along the promenade. Our family had a perfect day and the little ones really enjoyed using the body board. Would recommend.

We had a fabulous day stay for our mums 92nd birthday. She loved having the family together while her great grandchildren loved the beach too. Lovely position on the front row. We will use again I’m sure.

Very cute little beach hut, had everything we needed. Great being right at the front and not too far from everything. We had a lovely time! Thank you

Remember your beach towels and suntan lotion! It gets deceptively hot along the prom, even with the sea breeze! Trust me, you don't want to get caught out and go home pink!

Arrival information & directions

Address: Front Row, Betty Beach Hut 71A Southcliff Walton on the Naze, Walton on the Naze, Essex, SouthcliffUnited Kingdom

The beach huts are accessible from 9.00am – 6.00pm (arrivals outside of these times may be available on request). If you have booked consecutive days you can stay until 8.00pm – apart from your last day which will be 6.00pm

Parking: There are two car parks about 8 minutes from the beach huts (The Station Car Park, Walton on the Naze CO14 8LZ and Church Road Car Park 5 Agar Road, Walton on the Naze CO14 8DJ). You can also park along the residential streets nearby.

Finding Betty: When you come out of the car park – walk towards the sea and you’ll see a sign saying ‘The Beach’. Turn down this road and then turn into Southcliff. As you walk, you’ll see a green metal fence/railing. At the end of the fence/railing you’ll see some steps. Walk down the steps and you’ll get to the promenade. Turn Right, walk all the way along the promenade, past May’s Café. Keep going. Betty Beach hut is along the promenade where the turning circle is. Betty Beach Hut is No 71A

If you have mobility problems, you may prefer to get dropped off by the pier. You can then walk along the promenade until you see the turning circle (about 2 mins past May’s Café) along to Betty Beach Hut. This route avoids the steps leading down to the promenade from the street above. It is completely flat.
