Overview

University Unit Two is an extremely popular property with regular guests and is easy to access and easy to enjoy. The property offers complete comfort and convenience, close enough to the vibrant Southampton city centre, yet located perfectly to give guests peace and quiet.  

The apartment offers three bedrooms with additional sofa beds available for up to eight guests. The bed arrangement is that there are two bedrooms with double beds. There is one bedroom with two single beds (but these can be zip-locked together to make a double if we have prior notice). In addition, there is a large alcove off the living room with two single beds. We trust that this will work ok for your group. 

University Unit contains cooking facilities, including an oven, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, and an electric induction hob. There is ample space within the property designated for dining. University Unit contains full bathing facilities for all guests to enjoy. Towels are supplied, as are toiletries, and spare toilet paper.  A hairdryer is provided.  Supplies of tea, coffee, milk bread, biscuits and condiments are also provided to ensure that your arrival is as comfortable and relaxing as possible after travelling


Food & beverage

University Unit offers luxurious self-catering facilities, including an oven, two microwaves, refrigerator, freezer, kettle, and electric induction hob. You can readily prepare anything from pizza to Sunday roast to haute cuisine.  There is plenty of space within the property for dining, either in the large kitchen or adjacent living room

Grounds & Gardens

The rear of the property looks out onto fantastic mature communal gardens giving a peacefull setting within a city location.  Southampton golf club is within 10 minutes walk and leads to extensive walks through Lordswood.

Southampton Common is also close by and is often a venue for family and city events.

Other facilities

  • A dishwasher is available after cooking, whilst a washing machine and tumble dryer are available for clothing. An iron is provided for guests to use if needed
  • Free high-speed internet is provided with the property. The router is located underneath the lounge television, with the router name and password found written on the device
  • A flat screen TV is provided in both the living and kitchen areas

Directions; The property address and postcode are 158 Bassett Avenue, SO16 7FD.  It is a few minutes from junction 14 of the M3 and therefore easy to find and convenient for reaching all destinations by car.  It is 10 to 15 minutes taxi ride from Southampton airport and within 15 minutes drive of Southampton City Centre.  It is also on a bus route to the city.

Free private parking is provided with each stay at University Unit Two. Private parking for up to five cars is available at the property.

House Rules:

  • No under 25's Unless accompanied by a lead guest of 25 or older.
  • The latest we can receive a confirmed booking for check in on the same day is 6 PM. No bookings confirmed after 6 PM with same day arrival.
  • Security Deposit of £200.00, in respect of which they will be provided a security deposit receipt. Post guest departure, once the property has been inspected and cleaned, guests’ security deposits will be returned minus any requisite deductions required in respect of damage or items missing from the property. Within 3 days of departure, guest deposits will normally have been returned to guest accounts.
  • In all areas of the property, smoking is strictly forbidden, £200.00 will be charged if there is evidence of smoking in the property. 
  • Cleaning fee of £30.00
