Overview

Jesus College is set in uniquely spacious and peaceful grounds. Its buildings include some of the oldest and most attractive in Cambridge; at the same time, it offers accommodation with bright, modern, ensuite facilities. The college is easily accessible from major road networks and is within two minutes' walk from the city centre.

There are currently four different courts offering accommodation:

The light and modern Library Courtrooms with ensuite facilities can be occupied on a single or twin basis.

North Court ensuite rooms offer single accommodation with views over the cricket pitch and pavilion or the Orchard, the majority having balconies.

The newly refurbished Chapel Courtrooms offer the perfect mix of modern facilities alongside traditional features.

All accommodation has a five-star rating awarded by the Quality in Tourism board.

Accommodation is also provided all year round in West Court -

1. The room was spoilt by the only mirror, in the en suite, having the overhead light behind one's head, so one's face is in the dark! Poor lighting design. 2. There was no fan air extractor in the ensuite, so it got very steamy and one couldn't open the window. ACTION: FIT AIR EXTRACTOR and MIRROR LIGHT! 3. The room was warm, but ok. The duvet was too thick, though it would be fine for a colder room. However, when it was taken out of its cover, just the cover was ok for sleeping warmth.

Generally I had a good experience. Something you could consider would be to increase the number of signs on the property. The map was not easy to follow and frequently I had to ask people to assist with the location of buildings and libraries. Also, I never found the correct location for breakfast. I ended up eating in West Court area dining room, though I lodged in the Chapel area. It was not only me. Several people in my group had the same problem.

The room was a little small but beautifully clean and a high spec. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Our only issues really were that the shower head wouldn’t stay in place and that the air conditioning couldn’t be turned off. The cold air draft was unpleasant.

Everything was above excellent - fantastic value for money! Spacious and well equipped apartment, comfortably fit 2 adults and 2 small children. Delicious and abundant breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

All great but came back to get luggage at 1040 and had to wait 25 mins till someone came to the front desk at West Court. Apart from that all good.
