Absolutely can't rate the B&B and staff highly enough. It was a last minute find as my friend and I had decided to go to Bath over the bank holiday at the last minute so most of Bath was fully booked, Premier Inn rooms were available at £180.00 per night (yeah OK Premier Inn, good luck with that!). I was worried this place, a 10 min walk from the station WITH availability just before a bank holiday weekend seemed to good to be true, I wondered if it was a scam! After some googling (and the booking process looked secure), I crossed my fingers and booked and that was the best decision ever. It was cosy, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was extensive, you could choose lots of options, they had non dairy options (wow, not only soya milk but they even offered non dairy butter and it wasn't even margarine, unheard of!). The staff were all exceptionally friendly from arrival to ordering breakfast despite being busy and it being the bank holiday weekend, I was blown away, I honestly can't rate this place highly enough. Goodbye Holiday Inn, hello Pulteney House, book it and enjoy!

This was a last minute booking as my husband was an observer at the Invictus trials at Bath University as part of his role in the Royal Navy. We had a small twin basement room - sounds so-so? Absolutely not! The room was comfortable, tidy and clearly a lot of thought and care had been put into the decor- just those little touches that made the room special and the bed was so comfortable..best sleep in ages. Beautiful B & B with lovely garden and patio area, parking and within a five minute walk to the centre of Bath. The breakfast was fantastic! Full English or eggs Benedict in a variety of ways (smoked salmon, or black pudding, or smoked haddock), and much more. A lot of thought, care and pride at this establishment, Well worth booking!

The room was small, but comfortable and although it wasn't ensuite the bathroom I had was for my personal use only. Overall, a very good choice for a solo traveller - more places should offer well-priced single rooms like this. The breakfast options were fantastic - I noticed that along with all the usual cooked and continental items there were careful notes about vegetarian and gluten-free choices. For this reason alone, I would recommend Pulteney House to friends.

Room was small as advertised but clean and quiet - perfect for our 1 night stay. Super freshly made breakfast, loved sitting in the garden, location central so all sites can be reached walking.

Only drawback was no en suite faculty for room 6 but the private bathroom was spotlessly clean and not too far away. Great location easy to find with good parking and outside seating areas.

Lovely service and breakfast. Nice comfortable room. Showering facilities could do with updating although the facilities were clean.
