Location:

  • There is an excellent and frequent public transport facility to easily transport guests from city centre to the corner of the street and a shuttle coach service and tram service operates from Airport to City Centre.
  • By bus, train or plane: From the city centre take Lothian Bus No. 26 from outside Jenners Department store on Princes Street. This is a  very short walk from the train station and disembarkation point for the airport coach. The no 26 Lothian bus leaves from the stop on South St David Street outside Jenners store. The bus will deposit Guests at  Joppa, outside Portobello and Joppa Parish church just at the corner of the street The bus stop is announced as Brunstane Rd North. The service has a five-minute frequency during the day and remains regular into the evening.
  • A taxi from the city centre to the door is about thirteen pounds.
  • By car: Sat Nav postcode: EH15 2DL. Approaching Edinburgh on the A1 go straight through the first roundabout coming into Edinburgh (with Asda store on left - signed “Portobello”). At the next traffic lights turn right (Signed “Joppa”).  Turn first left into Brunstane Road, down to the bottom, cross the Abercorn Terrace junction and Straven is on the left. Approaching Edinburgh by a route other than the A1 proceed East on the South city bypass(A720) all the way to the Old Craighall junction where guests take the turnoff left for Edinburgh East and North and thereafter follow instructions as for the A1.
