Overview

Toravaig House is set in an elevated, south-facing location on the South Peninsula on Skye Island, enjoying views across the Sound of Sleat Atlantic waters over the distant Arisaig hills. This Hebridean jewel has won the title "Scottish Island Hotel of the Year" at the Scottish Hotel Awards multiple times.

Toravaig offers nine individually designed, contemporary styled, and furnished ensuite bedrooms, all named after Scottish islands and embellished with crisp white bedding and luxury toiletries.

The rooms are decorated in soothing palettes, which reflect some of the kaleidoscopes of colors to be viewed on Skye’s hillsides, mountains, and coasts.

Food & beverage

Full Scottish Breakfast is included in the room price and is served from 7.30 am in the Summer, and 8.00 am in the Winter. Should a guest require breakfast out with these times, 12h notice is required.

Toravaig’s 26 cover award-winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant, the Iona, is the delightful setting for enjoying dishes created from the freshest local produce. Whether they’re here for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner, guests are in for a culinary and visual treat.

Of course, Iona (yet another Scottish island) is intimate, warm, and immaculately presented. It’s the perfect place to appreciate skillfully cooked food prepared from the finest ingredients which the larders of Skye and its neighbors can yield.

Most of the produce comes from the island’s hills, gardens, rivers, and surrounding seas. Diners will find choice venison, lamb and seafood, and vegetables and herbs from local parks on the menu. Each dish is individually and meticulously cooked by the property's team of talented chefs.

Other facilities

Toravaig House also has a luxury private yacht “Solus a Chuain” on which guests can enjoy a day’s sailing experience, which is unique to the guests of the three hotels. The 50’yacht is skippered by Capt. Ken Gunn and his first mate Anne Gracie, are also owners of the three boutique hotels on Skye.
See Skye and the surrounding islands from a different perspective whilst being looked after in the capable, experienced hands of your hosts.

There are many activities, craft shops, and castles to visit and enjoy on the island and the hotel's experienced receptionists will help you tailor a holiday to remember on the beautiful Isle of Skye.

Toravaig makes a wonderful intimate wedding and honeymoon venue where your hosts go that extra mile to ensure your stay is most memorable.
