Overview

Our Wychfield Site is situated one mile from the city centre and offers 100 superb single en-suite bedrooms, set within delightful gardens. The bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of natural light, large desks, tea & coffee making facilities, wired internet access and toiletry packs. The accommodation has TV lounges for you to relax in. You will also find a wealth of local tourist information, while the porters can help with any enquiries you may have, and can arrange transport for you as necessary.

Within Wychfield we have disabled accessible bedroom sets, with wet room bathrooms, emergency pull cords, and the option to have a companion housed within the set.


History

The site was opened in July 2007 by BBC correspondent Andrew Marr, who studied English at Trinity Hall from 1977 - 80. The building recently won an architectural award for ‘best new building’ in the David Unwin awards 2010.

Grounds & Gardens

The site is within the grounds of Wychfield House, a gracious family home with delightful mature gardens, and includes playing fields for football, rugby, cricket, squash & tennis courts. Limited car parking is available.

Other facilities

The Porters' Lodge has hair dryers available for guests' use. Free internet access. Limited car parking is available, therefore please mention in the additional information section of your booking form if you require parking. 
Laundry rooms with coin operated machines are available price.

On Arrival: Visitors must register at the Porters' Lodge at Wychfield Site which is manned 24hrs a day, where a room key or access card will be issued. Rooms will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Please show your booking confirmation to the Porters.

How to Find Us:

By Rail: Cambridge Station is approximately 2 miles from the Wychfield Site, an approximate 20 minute taxi journey, taxis are available at Cambridge Station.

By Road: From the M11 (going North) exit at junction 13, turn right in to Madingley Road. Follow the road towards the city centre, take the left turn into Storeys Way. Follow the road round to the left, the Wychfield Site entrance is located on the righthand side, just before the playing fields. There is no exit at Junction 13 on the M11 travelling south.

Parking: Unfortunately we cannot offer parking (unless previously arranged with conference organisers). However, there are limited spaces on Storey's Way, where it is free to park.
